EECOS ecologists have experience in supervising works on construction sites where there may be sensitive ecological issues. As Ecological Clerk of Works, we can provide on-site advice and supervision as well as providing continued off-site consultation. This will make sure that conservation legislation, planning conditions and other obligations are adhered to and that impacts on wildlife are minimised during the construction phase of a development.
Our Ecological Clerk of Works services include the following:
Drawing up an Ecological Management Plan (EcMP) that contains all of the information needed to satisfy legislative and planning requirements; Ecological induction for site workers and contractors – ‘toolbox talks’; Management of protected species licences and other planned mitigation or compensation; Monitoring of ecological performance in accordance with the agreed EcMP; Short notice call-outs for urgent ecological issues on site; Machine watching and other forms of on-site supervision; Resolving any unexpected wildlife issues that arise once works have begun; Ongoing office-based advice and consultation on ecological issues.
